3 JUICE RECIPES FOR POST-WORKOUT, DETOX and CRAVINGS CRUSHER

 

Beet Juice

Here are three easy juices to keep you going during different times of the day. Sometimes, we need a juice to “juice us up” after a good workout. We want to get some iron, some protein, some healthy sugars and some oxygen-enhancing phytonutrients. So I’ve included an amazing and easy juice that includes lots of greens and carrots to power you up after your workout. I’ve also included a great detox drink featuring one of the most powerful detox vegetables — the mighty beet! And finally, for those days where you can’t seem to get rid of unhealthy cravings, I’ve given you my favorite Cravings Crusher juice. The savory combination of leeks, tomato and cilantro curb your cravings for fat and sugar, while the ginger will fire up digestion and help you assimilate more nutrients from your daily intake of food. Remember, when our digestion is weak, we may not be absorbing all of the nutrients we need from our food, and that can leave us with crazy cravings! Enjoy these.

1. Power After-Workout Drink: 1/2 head of Romaine lettuce, 4 leaves of Kale, 5 Carrots, 1/2 bunch Carrot tops, 1 Apple, 1 Lime

2. Serious Detox: 1 sour green Apple, 1 Lime, 1 large Beet, 3 leaves from Beet tops, 3 Carrots, 5 Celery stalks, one small piece of Ginger

3. Excellent Cravings Crusher: 4 large leaves of Kale, 1 whole stalk of Leek, 1 lemon, 1 large Tomato, 1/2 bunch Cilantro, 5 Carrots, one piece (1 inch size) of Ginger
