MORE POTENT ANTIOXIDANTS THAN ANY FRUIT OR VEGETABLE

Cinnamon should definitely be included in the “superfood” category for many reasons. Did you know that cinnamon has super-antioxidant power, and is several hundred times more potent than any fruit or vegetable?

Cinnamon contains: B-complex vitamins, as well as chromium, iron, zinc, and calcium, and in studies it has been shown to:

~ Help prevent brain tissue damage that leads to Alzheimer’s. The Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease reported that cinnamaldehyde and epicatechin, both found in cinnamon, inhibit the clustering of a protein called tau, which forms lesions in the brain that lead to Alzheimer’s.

~ Help with nausea, indigestion, and gas

~ Help prevent and shorten the flu, and eliminate mucus from the body.

~ Help lower cholesterol

~ Help regulate blood sugar, very helpful for diabetics

~ Help increase circulation, as it contains anti-clotting compounds

~ Help reduce inflammation in the body, so it is very beneficial for people with ms, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.

In studies, cinnamon has also been shown to reduce the growth of lymphoma cancer cells within the body.

It is important that you use only REAL cinnamon (Ceylon) as opposed to the more common Cassia, which contains high levels of coumarins that can potentially cause serious liver damage, even in small amounts. One easy way to tell the difference is that Ceylon sticks are soft an crumble easily, whereas the Cassia cinnamon sticks are hard. In the powdered form, make sure the package is labeled with the word Ceylon.
