Do you have Acne Scars? Surgical Scars? Wrinkles? Both Rose Essential Oil, and Rosa Mosqueta Oil Can Help You. They are both incredibly healing to the skin. One is EXTREMELY expensive, one is very economical.

For pure rose otto oil, you must be willing to part with about $200 for a tiny 5ml bottle, the pure organic stuff doesn’t come much cheaper than that. I buy mine from a small organic distillery in the south of France. The reason this is so pricey is because it takes 10,000 lbs of rose petals to distill one pound of oil. YES 10,000 POUNDS per pound of distilled oil. A reason we must be careful and mindful of the essential oils we use, and for what purpose so that we are not abusing mother nature. Seriously. But for the skin, especially facial skin, there is nothing better in my experience.

There are two major species of rose cultivated for the production of rose oil: Rosa damascena, the damask rose, which is widely grown in Syria, Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, India, Uzbekistan, Iran and China. And Rosa centifolia, the cabbage rose, which is more commonly grown in Morocco, France and Egypt. Bulgaria produces about 70% of all rose oil in the world.

It is amazing for: aging skin, broken capillaries, cold sores, combination skin, dry skin, eczema, elasticity, herpes, mature skin, rejuvenation, sensitive skin, thread-veined skin, and wrinkles. Pure rose essential oil also has some amazing applications for emotional health as it is very helpful for stress, grief, and PTSD. It is also considered a powerful aphrodisiac.

The other “rose” oil is Rosa Mosqueta (also known as hiprose) which is a wild rose shrub that grows in South America, particularly in the Andean part of Chile. Rosa Mosqueta is significantly less expensive and can be purchased from places like Amazon. There are some great organic brands on there. The essential oil is obtained from rosa mosqueta seeds or hips and contains a very high content of nonsaturated fatty acids, carotenoids and vitamin C.

Is it good? What can it do for you? Rosa Mosqueta can do amazing things for your skin too.

1. Reduces Wrinkles
Rose Mosqueta oil contains retinoic acid, which reduces the appearance of lines or wrinkles on the skin.

2. Treats Burns, Stretchmarks and Scars
Rose Mosqueta is a mini-miracle for treating burns and acne scars. The oil reduces the marks and crests of stretchmarks and surgical scarring. It also increases elasticity. Scars become dramatically less noticeable and softer with continued use. Rosa mosqueta oil can avoid the formation of keloid (lump) scars. It also improves the color and the texture of burn marks.

3. Pigmentation
Researchers at the University of Concepcion have found that, when applied to the skin, rosa mosqueta oil decreased the appearance of brown spots formed on the face from aging.

So check out one or both of these oils and really get to know them and how they can help you.
